Join us for a 10-week Music Appreciation Study Group exploring the powerful, emotional, and wide-ranging music of Sergei Rachmaninov.
When Rachmaninov left Russia in 1917, the country lost one of its greatest composers, conductors, and pianists. Despite exile, he had already created an extraordinary body of work — from solo piano pieces and songs to choral music, operas, concertos, and symphonies.
In this course, we’ll explore his music in depth, looking at both the social world that shaped it and the personal circumstances that influenced his voice. Designed for music lovers — no specialist knowledge required.
