Well we tried to pop a post up this morning and failed, but just wanted to say the biggest biggest thank you, to you our community for coming and supporting today’s Spring Book Sale and Craft Fayre and also our Pop Up Community Cafe! We had the most amazing day and took over £2500, £1650 on books and puzzles alone! All funds go to maintaining our fantastic community centre and continually improving it. The biggest thank you of all goes to our incredible team of volunteers who have sorted and sold books and puzzles, baked cakes, braved the weather for the pop up cafe, served bacon baps, made coffees, organised crafters and so much more…you’re all absolutely the best and we are so lucky to have you. 🤗 A special thank you goes to Nigel Revill who sang and played for us all morning. #thelonereviller Tired feet but so many smiling faces, every bit of it was wonderful! Thank you all! 🙏🙏🙏

There is still time to support our Community Pop-up Cafe, here at the centre! Open from 9am till 1pm. So many people use our centre as their community hub, a place that almost becomes a second home. Having this cafe here would be so beneficial to them as a meeting point. Somewhere to socialize beyond their clubs/classes. We are very excited about this opportunity so please do come along and show us your support.

Can you help us? Our beloved washing machine has finally given up the ghost! Do you have a spare one sitting in your garage/store that you could donate? We only use it for tablecloths and tea towels. If you can help, please email the office on office@greyfriarsringwood.org.uk or phone 01425 472613

Did you know its Village Halls week this week? #VillageHallsWeek is a national annual campaign, shining a spotlight on the contribution England’s 10,000+ village halls make to rural communities. The annual week long celebration, organised by ACRE and the ACRE Network (England’s largest network of rural community support organisations), aims to raise the profile of village and community halls across the country, and is a big collective “thank you” to all the volunteers who work tirelessly to keep them open for the benefit of local residents, groups and rural businesses. This year’s Village Halls Week will run from Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd March and the theme is connecting communities to health and wellbeing. Village Halls are at the heart of rural life, playing a vital role in keeping people healthy, active, and connected. By providing spaces for exercise, social clubs, health sessions, and peer support, they help prevent isolation and promote wellbeing at every stage of life. At Greyfriars, we believe we have a wealth of wonderful resources to keep you physically and mentally healthy—from exercise classes for all ages to our famous book sale, which provides great mental stimulation. We also have a preschool where children aged 2.5 to 4 years old learn on a daily basis. With so many different activities happening every single day, we are proud to serve our fabulous community. Why not take a look at our Newsletter to find out what's on, or check out our website... https://greyfriarsringwood.org.uk.
