What an absolutely amazing day! A big thank you to everyone who came and supported us today at our Summer Book Sale, Craft Fayre and Pop Up Community Cafe! The biggest thank you goes to our incredible team of volunteers though who have worked tirelessly for weeks in preparation for the last two days, you know who you all are, you are simply incredible and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do to make Greyfriars the heart of our community! We are so proud of you all and grateful for all you do. 🤗🙏💙 The last two days have raised an awesome £750 towards our community cafe, and a further £500 towards it was raised by Sheila Killen who donated a beautiful hand made quilt, a special thank you to Sheila for this wonderful gift to the project.🙏 The Book Sale and Crafts raised over £2200, an incredible total, all helping us to maintain and improve our centre! So much work goes into these sales and the team work tirelessly for weeks beforehand…a special thank you too to Phil & Linda who just go above and beyond to make Wynn’s Book Shop the best pre loved book shop in Hampshire! Look out for our next big fundraisers in September and October! Thank you again to everyone who came out in the heat to support us today!

We cannot believe what we walked into this morning. Someone has ripped the top off our NFDC recycling bin, rendering it useless. This pointless act of vandalism will probably cost us another £700 to replace the bin. Why do it? You should be ashamed of yourselves - we are a hard working community centre supported by lots of volunteers who work tirelessly for our community - we will be appealing for witnesses. So please if you saw or know anything, phone us on 01425 472613, we are reporting it to the police now.
