Did you know we hold French Lessons here at the centre? Ranging from beginner lessons right through to advanced conversation... We have the wonderful Tim come along from Fantastique French. And this is what he has to say. 'Bonjour! Je m'appelle Tim Robins. J'ai 48 ans, et j'habite près de Bournemouth dans le Sud de l'Angleterre... My love of languages, and French in particular, started at school and continued through to university, where I studied Law and French. I spent the third year of my degree studying French law at the University of Nantes in western France. After graduating, I trained and then practised as a solicitor for a number of years before changing direction in April 2013 and starting to tutor French. There are two main reasons why I enjoy teaching: It's rewarding. I really like to see my students grow in confidence and enjoyment as their French language skills improve - when they string a sentence together for the first time, for example, or finally "get" how the subjunctive works. It's interesting. Every one of my clients is different and has their own reason for learning French. I find this variety very refreshing and it makes teaching each of my students a unique and enjoyable experience. Since setting up a few years ago, my French tuition business has grown to the point where it is now a full-time (6 days a week) job. My passion for languages has become my livelihood! ' If you are interested in attending a class please do take a look at Tim's website: https://fantastiquefrenchtuition.co.uk/ Fantastique French Tuition

Sadly this week we had some antisocial behaviour again at the centre. Some youths gathered and climbed onto the roof & it appears that a piece of parapet was thrown onto one of our commemorative benches - breaking the back of the bench. If there is anyone in the community who could restore the bench for us please? We would love some help please, as these benches are so well used at Greyfriars. Thank you!
